Installation of CUBISYSTEM Modular Pontoon at the Moulin Blanc Marina in Brest
In June, we installed our modular pontoon at the Moulin Blanc marina in Brest. Measuring 74.80 m x 2.72 m, this pontoon is made up of 440 cubis, specially designed to adapt to tidal variations. Thanks to its mooring system with pendulum lines, the pontoon remains stable and adjusts automatically to the water level, ensuring optimal safety even during significant tidal changes or rough seas.
Fast and Efficient Installation Thanks to Modular Pontoon Preparation
To optimize installation efficiency and adapt quickly to daily tidal changes, all materials were delivered on pallets. The cubis were pre-assembled in packs of 6, which significantly simplified the assembly process. Thanks to this preparation, the CUBISYSTEM team was able to install, equip, and anchor the entire modular pontoon in just three days, minimizing intervention time while ensuring a clean and precise installation.
Safety and Comfort for Users
The pontoon is equipped with fenders and mooring cleats along its entire length, allowing all types of boats to dock safely. It is designed to facilitate the launching and recovery of boats, making docking easier and helping to improve the flow of traffic at the boat ramp—especially during the summer season. This modular pontoons system also makes boarding and disembarking more comfortable for passengers while simplifying maneuvering.
